ALONE, I ALLOW THE BEAUTY OF EVERY MOMENT
Daily Meditation & Practice for the Sacred Masculine, May 11
Today's suggested practice: Day 11 of seven minutes to train your nervous system.... (see below)
My playlist while writing today's meditation: Carlos Paredes, Cançāo Verdes Anos (Note: Carlos Paredes is considered the master of the Portuguese Guitar. This is a beautiful introduction to his art.)
My morning practice: 60 minutes with short warm-up, Linking with the Infinite mantra and pranayama, followed by Solving Communication Problems kriya
My vulnerability practice: Allowing myself to feel the sweetness of this solitude... and all that it brings.
—Hans Peter Meyer
MY MEDITATION I begin each day with sweet solitude. I wake almost every day before 4am. I sit in these "ambrosial hours" of Amrit Vela and allow the stillness and nectar of this moment to nourish me.
In this stillness I know: I am not a warrior fighting; I am a man learning my art of stillness, my art of becoming so silent that the beauty of each moment feels safe to blossom in my heart.
In this stillness and solitude I lay down the arms I have carried in this life, I lay down the weapons of conquest and success and open my body —my throat, my heart, my belly— to receive all of Her gifts.
Now, hours later, I write. I remember how powerful and beautiful I am in that morning stillness. I remember how blessed I am to know my beloved, to be solitary, that I may love her as she needs to be loved, with tenderness and solitude.
I am not a warrior. I am a man learning to be this deep and this still and this beautiful that she feels safe to blossom in my heart.
—TODAY'S INSPIRATIONS🌀Knowing how to be solitary is central to the art of loving. When we can be alone, we can be with others without using them as a means of escape. (bell hooks)
🌀When meditation dives deeper into discovery, you’ll find all of these awkwardly threatening sensations are also maps to their own solutions. The trick is to locate the solution within the sensation. To do this, you must fully experience the sensation down to its core; go through the very discomforts you're avoiding. Use meditations to slow your reaction rhythms down so that you’re more conscious of the details...
...Our prayer is that you make these conscious choices to find the beauty within each encounter, that you discover the options that maintain your power, enjoy the perspectives of your moments...appreciate what’s going on. (Guru Singh and Guruperkarma Kaur, Beauty in the Eyes)
🌀The Conscious Warrior is continuously refining his deepest purpose through dedicated time in solitude and in the company of other conscious men. (John Wineland, Precept 10)
🌀I never thought I'd be coming to you like this. (My beloved, my Oracle)
TODAY'S SUGGESTED PRACTICE Day 11 of this month's practice, seven minutes towards building your nervous system capacity to be still in the face of Her constant testing, Her never-ending desire to be safe and to be vulnerable....

This is a song of longing and devotion and self-discovery. You will listen to this while you are...
Sitting, let your body settle into its weight. Close your eyes. Breathe slowly through your nostrils, deeply into your belly... and then into the earth below. Exhaling, drawing energy from this rootedness up through the front of the lower triangle of your body, imagining this flow coming up through your perineum, your sex, your belly, your heart, your throat, up the front of your face... As you exhale, lifting your spine out of your pelvis.
Turn the music on and, breathing ever more slowly, begin to notice this slow breath moving through your body. Notice your belly swell, and contract. Notice your sit bones, the weight of your body pressing down. Notice your hands and how they are lying or resting. Become aware of yourself sitting still. Become aware of yourself being aware of yourself. You are, in this moment, alone with your practice of stillness. Notice yourself alone, still, silent, only the movement of your energy and your breath disturbing the silence, the stillness, your solitude.
As you continue breathing, as you pay attention to every part of your body involved with this breath, notice yourself noticing yourself. Notice how, even with your eyes closed, you can "see" yourself, your hands and shoulders, your belly and knees, every part of yourself held in your mind's eye, as you breath. As you become aware of yourself alone in this space, breathing, still.
As the song ends, bring your awareness back to your breath. Take three gentle, relaxed breath cycles, without effort, and open your eyes. As you step into your day know this moment of your solitude makes you beautiful, makes you magnetic, able to receive what you need. Enjoy this day and all She brings...
